IU Charging is a growing startup aiming to drastically increase the availability of electric vehicle chargers throughout the US.

I led a team to build the backend software that would manage, connect to, and utilise all these new chargers. This includes APIs to communicate with the user app, admin management software to control the sites and charging stations. In particular, based on existing charging protocols, I built the middleware that would control the charging devices directly and get people's cars back on the road.

As part of an international marketing team, I helped design and plan an overhaul of Silicon Power's brand and tech organisation. This included redesigns of their website, packaging, marketing materials. On top of this I also built demonstration software for their internal data management and product communciation to improve business organisation.

PuttiForms is a form generation and business process management tool that boasts a large variety of features. It supports a large range of devices, including Android, iOS, Web, and Windows Devices.Intended to replace traditional paper based processes within business environments (think health and safety, HR, customer management), while leaving the survey space to existing form builders. The web application contained all the necessary features to build forms, with validation, customisable fields and submission reporting. More advanced features included dynamic tables with spreadsheet style calculation, GPS, user permissions, and notifications to manage work flows.Due to business users often having their own IT systems managing their data, a series of secure APIs were developed to allow customers to source their own data for form creation, as well as retrieving the resulting form submissions. The application was built as a monthly subscription service and also including a payment system and administrator backend.

My Involvement:

I developed PuttiForms over 3 years, designing the architecture, creating APIs and fully implementing the front and backend. The project started out with just me and a native developer. As the application picked up clients, I began to lead a larger team of developers to continue expanding product features and meet customer requirements.

Haaalp! is a mobile first PWA that helps people find assistance in their area. Whether it's offering to car pool to town, or asking a neighbour for sugar, Haaalp! provided an easy means to get the help you need.

It features location based services, live chat, social logins and a wholesome friendly design. I collaborated with a designer and project manager to build this from scratch during 2020 when people needed more haaalp than ever.

Freerangechef.co.nz is the online face of a New Zealand based catering company.

The website allows Freerange Chef customers to view the available products and services and make orders through the built in menu and shopping cart. It also includes contact forms, invoicing and all other standard features you would expect from a company website.

Also included is a custom content management service to allow Freerange Chef management to update their menu and prices, as well as add marketing and dietary tagging to the menu items. This is all done through an easy to use UI, backed up by secure admin authentication.
